Tripneustes ventricosus
Worked alongside Professor Dr. Richard Brinn at Florida International University and graduate students. Conducted experimental trials on the effects of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) on the larvae stage of Tripneustes ventricosus, a species of sea urchin, after exposure. We obtained water samples from the Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida, as well as nearby airports (since research explains the highest PFAS levels are found in bodies of water nearby airports)
Tank system
This tank system was set up to ensure that we could keep the water temperature and salinity equal in all tanks as a control variable when observing changes in the sea urchins
